how replace/add search to home screen?

I like the idea of the new home screen, but hate the way it works. In 1p7 I would open the app, tap in the search box and find what I want, now I have to tap on the search icon, clear any previous ...

I've passed on your feedback to the rest of the team. Thanks for letting us know this matters to you. I am also right there with you as I would love to have this back. Hopefully, the team can make this happen.
