How to change field TYPE

Have upgraded from 1PW 7 to 1PW 8, this may be the reason I cannot change a field type? I have searched your site (Discussions/Knowledge/interwebs) and can find no info on making this kind of edit...

You should be able to change most user-added field types. It may be that you're trying to change one of the items pre set field types. If so, I'd recommend using a new or custom field.
