How to disable auto popup to enter/update passwords

Although it’s a great option to be able to automatically fill in passwords to smoothen the login, it often also is a pain when 1Password thinks it detects login fields on a page and constantly shows the update/enter popup.

Isn’t there a way to disable the popup for certain pages and/or addresses? It happens when I’m working in a certain page the popup appears after almost any entry/action I perform on these pages. And that way it annoys, and therefore makes you ‘hate’ the option (which it shouldn’t).

    Hi Gerard​ thanks for reaching out!

    If you don't want 1Password offering suggestions automatically there are a couple of options available to you.

    The first option is to hide 1Password on a webpage completely:

    1. Right-click anywhere on the webpage.
    2. Hover your cursor over 1Password - Password Manager in the context menu that appears.
    3. Choose Hide on this page.

     

    If you don't want to hide 1Password completely on a webpage, you can configure it so that the autofill menu only shows when clicking the 1Password icon in a website field:

    1. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and choose Settings.
    2. Click Autofill & save in the lefthand menu.
    3. Toggle off Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus.
