Mac OS Client quits after inactivity instead of locking

Hello,

What I can observe: 1Password app for Mac OS regularly quits in its own. When I want to use it after a while, from the browser or directly, I need to launch it again. After that it works as expected.

I haven't been able to time how much time it stays in the background before quitting. However it always quits each time I lock my session. In the preferences, I've selected "Lock when the device is locked" (I use it in French, the wording might be slightly different).

So it seems the option "Lock ..." doesn't actually lock the vault but quits the app. I would expect the app to stay in the background and just need an action (Touch ID, etc.) to unlock the vault.

Any help is very appreciated 😊

Kind regards,

Sébastien

Could you reproduce the behaviour, then relaunch the 1Password desktop app and create a diagnostics report, so we can take a closer look at what's happening here?

  • Am I the only one experiencing this? Is there a way I can file a bug report with the necessary info to help 1P team investigate and fix the issue?
