How to get a suggested password to include a symbol?

How do I add a symbol to a suggested password when trying reset a password when a symbol is  required to be included in a password at that site?

    In the Use Suggested Password box,

     

    click the control/sliders icon in the bottom right to reveal the options, including the one to include Symbols in the suggestion.
