How to hide item in vault from chrome autofill extension

Hi,

I have certain credit cards in my vault(s) that I use infrequently, however, they always appear in the chrome autofill.

I want to disable specific credit cards from appearing in autofill suggestions. I do not want to archive them or move them to a specific vault. These credentials are referenced occasionally on the desktop application but are not used day-to-day.

Any suggestions on how I can hide specific items from autofill?

I am using Windows version 1Password 8.

    Hi Trevor,

    My wife has her credit card in our shared vault, however, the amount of times I want to use it is basically zero. It is just an emergency back up if needed.

    My day-to-day credit cards are what I want to autofill.

    In theory, I COULD make another shared vault, move the credit card item and then hide it from autofill. But this seems cumbersome and a waste of a "vault" with a single item in it. Seems like a "hack".

    Ideally, if there was a toggle on every item that I can control if it is available for autofill...paired with a filter in 1Password to easily view these items. 1Password serves many use cases; not every use case works well with autofill. Having everything available for autofill with the control for this only at the vault level is not granular enough for my liking.

    Personally, I am also a product manager so I understand the prioritization process. Please share this as feedback...my day to day is not impacted...just a mild annoyance, especially when I use the wrong credit card to purchase something.

      Thank you for the additional context! That's super helpful and I can definitely see the value of being able to prevent that item from being suggested. I've gone ahead and forwarded this request with the additional context to our Product team.

    Hi DiveUp​,

    The best way to have these items not show up in the autofill suggestions would be to move them to a separate vault, then uncheck that vault in the "Accounts & vaults" section of the extension settings. This won't remove the items from your account, they would just be in a separate vault and still be viewable in the 1Password app.

    Is there a particular reason you're not wanting to move the items to another vault? I'd be happy to share your use case with our Product team for further consideration.
