How to turn off "Sign-in with" prompts

I have no idea who will read this. I'm hoping someone who works at 1password.

I've been using this things for years. I'm a paying customer. I just don't understand what the deal is with these pop-ups?

Everyone complains about them. What's the story?

I've done all I could to disable every option in the main app and the chrome extension, and yet these pop-ups prompting me to save an item in 1password just never stop appearing. I use multiple AWS accounts, I switch constantly from one thing to another, and in the process of my normal workflow (despite every effort to control these things), I'm bombarded by them. The steal my focus and break my flow.

I just don't get who benefits? We hate them 1password. Fire the genius product manager who has been demanding these things exist. He's clueless!

How do I stop them short of migrating to a different password manager?

Maybe you call tell I'm a bit annoyed.

All my Autofill & Save settings are disabled. The issue persists.

  • Hello npearson72! 👋

Welcome to the community! You can turn off the "sign-in with" prompts by following these steps:

    1. Open your browser.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
    3. Click Autofill & save.
    4. Scroll down and turn off "Offer to save "sign-in with" logins".

If you still see the same prompt after turning this option off then let me know.

It looks like your messages were accidentally caught in the automatic spam filter and I apologize for the confusion. I've released them from the spam filter and removed the duplicate posts to make the conversation easier to follow.

Thank you for posting that screenshot, that really helps. I suspect that you're running into a known issue that our development team is currently investigating. Can you try the following steps:

        1. Open your browser.
        2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
        3. Click Autofill & save.
        4. Temporarily turn on "Offer to save and fill logins and other items".
        5. Turn off "Offer to save "sign-in with" logins".
        6. Turn off "Offer to save and fill logins and other items".

There's a bug where turning off "Offer to save and fill logins and other items" appears to also visually turn off "Offer to save "sign-in with" logins" but it doesn't turn off the functionality. The workaround is to turn off the latter before you turn off the former. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Sorry, how do I reply? Each time I do my message doesn't show.

I’ve been getting the same sort of pop up when I log into MS Dynamics 365 offering to save a login that’s already in 1PW.

I'm sorry that you're seeing a similar issue. Is the prompt in your case offering to "Save in 1Password" as in the case of the original poster here? Or is it prompting you to "Sign in with"?

It's not a "Sign in with" prompt. It's more of a prompt like this. But for Dynamics instead of Visual Studio.

Again, it's asking me to save an item it already has because I just used it to login. I have no logins that "signs in with" Microsoft. But I wonder if this is triggering a similar behavior?
