I clicked to upgrade to 1P8 within 1P7.... it didn't work

So I completely cleared out 1P7 from my MacBook Pro and went for a virgin installation. It won't install. I downloaded the installer - and when I run it, it just hangs on the 'installing' window and then crashes out.

I have everything up and running on my iMac - no probs. My MacBook Pro has basically said 'no'.

Help! (please).

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble installing 1Password 8 for Mac. If you're seeing an error message then can you tell me what the error message says? Which version of macOS are you using? Please make sure that you’re using the latest version of macOS: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

    As a troubleshooting step, are you able to install 1Password 8 using Safe Mode? Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
