I detest the new "Archive" feature
For some time, I have had an "Archive" vault, where I put defunct logins. I never want to lose track of these. I ensured they did not show up in any of my Vault sets (now called Collections), and eve...

3 years agoInteresting. How do I view the Archived items from only one vault?
The desktop and mobile apps abstract away the fact that the archive is per-vault, and instead show a combined view. If you'd like to view the per-vault data, you can use the https://my.1Password.com web app in a web browser, as this offers a breakdown by vault.
Also, the Move function in Archive is confusing. If I move an item from Archive into another vault, it just moves it from the Archive of one vault to the Archive of the other vault. This is very counterintuitive. If I want to actually put it in a regular vault, I have to Restore it, then move it.
Archived is an item state, rather than a place. Moving an item from one vault to another doesn't change that state. That said, I will share this feedback with our product team, in case they'd like to consider changing this behavior. Thanks for the feedback!
Also worth noting: "move" is actually a copy then archive under the hood. If you move an item from one vault to another you will have an archived copy of the item in the origin vault. That may help explain some of the behavior you described in your OP.
