I have two 1 Password Apps in my Application folder

I just noticed 1Password App (version 8.10.8) and 1Password for Safari App (version 2.12.0) in my applications folder. I have Safari & Firefox browsers. 1 Password for Safari App is 264 megabytes in size. Presently I am using Firefox as my browser.

Firefox 1Password Extension version is 2.11.0
Safari 1Password Extension version is 2.12.0

My question is what is the purpose of the 1Password App for Safari in my applications folder ?
