Import/Export Passkeys
It appears that the ability to import/export passkeys is forthcoming in iOS 26 and macOS 26: see What’s new in passkeys (19:12).
Presumably, these same capabilities will also soon be incorporated into 1Password?
Hello everyone,
1Password for iOS now exports through the Credential Exchange standard allowing you to import and export passkeys to and from other apps. You can read more here:
The team is looking to expand support to other platforms in the future. Let me know if you run into any issues!

Are there any updates on this?
I recently tried moving a passkey from Passwords.app to 1Password, but 1Password doesn’t appear as an option in the export menu of Passwords.app.It would be great to see this feature supported in the near future.

Hello Pleonasm! 👋
Thanks for reaching out! Our team is definitely keeping an eye on the developments announced in WWDC and is continuing to work with our partners in the FIDO Alliance on the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) and the Credential Exchange Format (CXF) standards to allow folks to transfer passkeys between credential managers. Any updates on this for the very soon to be officially rolled out iOS26? Would be nice to hear from 1Password in advance so we know what we can expect here.
