in Chrome how do I disable autofill of Google Wallet items?

I have also looked all over https://wallet.google.com/ and https://payments.google.com/ and related pages and cannot find any setting that would control this
So, I'm still not sure why turning 1P off would fix it, but I found the "right" way to disable this: https://wallet.google.com/wallet/settings/managepassesdata
Toggle off the "Use passes across Google" setting.
I guess if you use 1P _and_ you want that setting "on" then this doesn't help you, but at least for now this solves my problem.
