iOS Safari extension cannot connect to app when using iOS 26.4 Public Beta

Recently the Safari extension on my iPhone stopped working. I am unable to sign in with my master password or Face ID, which both work just fine in the 1Password app. I also get an error message saying it cannot connect to the app. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps I could find, including:

  • Clearing the browser cache
  • Force quitting both apps and signing into the 1Password app before trying the extension
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling 1Password
  • Restarting my iPhone
  • Toggling various 1Password security settings
  • Disabling and re-enabling the extension

I am on the latest version of the 1Password app and iOS 26.4 Public Beta. Any ideas how I can get this to work again? Is it an issue with the iOS beta version?

    Thank you for helping us to test 1Password on the iOS beta. It's possible that you're running into a new issue that's only appearing in the beta version of iOS. So that we can investigate further, I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your iOS device:

    Send a diagnostics report (iOS)

    Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
