iPadOS 16.1 Watchtower crash [Fixed. Please see the approved answer for details.]

.
I upgraded my iPad to iPadOS 16.1 today. After I did this, I checked Watchtower. The scores and categories appeared as usual, but when I taped to see details, 1Password crashed back to the iPad home screen. After the crash, 1Password would not restart - it crashed immediately when I attempted to bring up again. Resetting the iPad does not resolve this issue. I can only begin to use 1Password again on my iPad if I uninstall the app and download a fresh copy. I do not experience this on my iPhone, which is running iOS 16.1 too.

I have the same problem. I feel I am paying £££ for a £ application. Looking forward to a credit.

I am unable to use watchtower in iPad. Current software for both iPad and the app. Every time I click the button to open watchtower, it immediately crashes the app without fail. Please help fix this bug!

Interesting that they say they have it solved but don’t seem able to implement a fix. Thought I was transitioning to a superior product platform?

The same problems here:
On iPad with IpadOS 16.1 and also on IpadOS 16.2 the 1Password 8 app crashes when Touch ID is enabled.
the problem on my iPad was triggered after selecting the Watchtower function.
Then the app closes immediately and it keeps crashing/closing after the fingerprint validation. When deinstalling and reinstallation of 1Password it seems the app works fine when Touch ID is NOT enabled.
Please fix this ASAP, this is very annoying.I read in other topics/sites that this problem existed before. Not sure if iPadOS 16.1 or 1Password8 caused this problem again. Could be a combination of both.
I hope it’s possible to improve your software testing procedures, I’m convinced this particular problem should be avoided. People and businesses are really depending on 1Password in everyday life.
Don’t release when Touch ID is not properly tested and 100% working.
It can lockout people from urgent access to information systems on crucial moments. It very easy to underestimate the impact of this bug.
Please give us some info when this will be fixed.

Hi all,
Newbie on 1Password, I have installed it on my iPad (IOS 16.2), application seems to worked fine until I accessed the list of duplicate passwords from Watchtower. Application then crashed, trying to relaunch it is impossible. It systematically crashes after I enter the pin (TouchID in my case).
I had to reinstall it completely to have it working again.
Any idea?
