is the "show search options" gone?

I recently started using 1Password 7. Advanced search is extremely important to me, so I appreciated the "show search options" feature (outlook style), in the lack of being able to enter a search expression (Gmail style). FYI, there seemed to be an importnt miss in the drop-down field list: the ability to select "Archived is true" to also query archived items.

While testing version 8 beta, however, I can't find the "show search options" menu options. Has it moved somewhere else? How can I perform an advanced search now?

Please don't tell me you've reduced search capabilities in order to simplify your UI. That would be an incalculable mistake, as many of your users are nerds like me, who prefer power over simplicity. A simple UI is always desirable, but please do not achieve it at the expense of power users.

FYI, here is an example of an advanced search: find all items in the "archive" that include the tag "banks" and have the word "chase"...

    1P_Rob thanks for the update. I'll keep both versions installed for the time being. Great to hear about being able to search using query expressions! Please make sure searching (or not) in the archive is considered (I have plenty of archived passwords which are still valid, I just rarely use them so I want them out of the way.

    Hey, @uhuhleuh. Thanks for the comments! For the most part @mia is right. There are some things we just haven't gotten to yet, and search is definitely one of the features that will be getting more attention.

    I'm glad you mentioned this. We've started down this path with vault and tag filters. So you can search, for example =tag:finance mybank to find all items matching mybank with the finance tag. I'd like to see more of these kinds of expressions and the ability to combine them, and maybe eventually some UI to make them more discoverable.

    Not to worry, 1Password 7 will still be supported after version 8 is publicly released, so you can keep using that version if it suits your needs better while we continue to work on bringing more advanced search capabilities to 1Password 8. 👍

    I'm going to go out on a limb and say they didn't remove it due to simplicity. It's simply not coded yet. They're starting from scratch for v8 so there's so many priorities (rename tags!) that the dev team is drowning in code.

    I would anticipate another year and we'll see 1PW 8 catch up with v7.
