1Password Chrome extension doesn't work with non-subscription version any more?
Hi there, fresh install of 1password on a new M1 MacBook Pro, running latest version of MacOS. Safari seems to run fine but the extension on Chrome is asking me to login with a 1Password subscription (which I do not have — I am syncing using Dropbox). Not sure how to get it to work? The extension shows up fine, but clicking on it in the toolbar just shows "Open 1Password" and when I click it nothing happens…
Have 1Password Mini running too…
1Password Version: 7.9.2
Extension Version: 2.2.0
OS Version: 12.1

Hi John_Yesberg, thanks for writing in!
I did a quick test and found I could use my fingerprint to unlock 1Password from a filling prompt in DuckDuckGo as expected. I'd like to ask you to try resetting biometric unlock on your new Samsung device (you'll need to enter your account password, so please ensure you remember that before proceeding):
- Open and unlock 1Password for Android.
- Tap the account or vault icon > Settings > Security.
- Set Unlock to Password.
- Set Unlock to Biometric.
- Completely close 1Password by removing it from Recents.
- Open 1Password and enter your password to complete the reset.
Now when you tap a filling prompt in DuckDuckGo can you unlock with your fingerprint? Thanks again!

Thanks for the assistance Timothy. I tried a couple of times but it made no difference. I tried restarting the phone between steps 5 & 6.
Whenever DuckDuckGo shows me a web page with a login:
- I tap in the username field,
- 1Password button appears in the autocorrect area above the keyboard
- I click the 1Password button
- 1Password prompts me for my password (rather than my biometric). From here, it works as expected.
I wonder whether reinstalling 1Password or DuckDuckGo would help. Is there a recommended order for (re)installing these?

Thanks for trying the reset John_Yesberg. I'm sorry to hear you're still seeing the same behavior.
As a next step I would suggest sending in a diagnostics report so we can help check for any errors, then advise from there.
I did want to cover one more thing before going that route. If you've had a 1Password membership for some time, would it be possible that 1Password 7 was transferred to your new phone along with the current 1Password app? If so, it's possible biometric unlock is on in one app and not the other causing some conflicting behavior. You can check this by opening Apps in Settings on your device, then searching for 1Password.
If we can cross that off as well, here's how to send in a diagnostics report:
Send a diagnostics report (Android)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:- A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/biometric-unlock-from-duckduckgo-on-android/157885/replies/158252
