Mac AppStore vs 1Password version

Hi everyone, I have always been using the Mac AppStore version of 1Password. I just realised that when there is an update it always takes ages before it is also available in the AppStore....like 1...

Ya, what gives!? Would 1Password rather have me use the non-Mac AppStore version?
