Mac Authentication dialog after password entry
Whenever I enter my password into 1Password Mac (8.11.22) running on MacOS 15.7.2, 1Password unlocks as expected.
Since a few days, now an additional MacOS System Dialog shows up immediately after every password entry into 1Password, saying something like:
1Password needs to conduct authentication to continue. Enter the password for user "<username>" to permit this.
(I translated this from my local language, apologies if the wording is not 100% precise).
The dialog then expects entry of my MacOS user password. Regardless if I enter the password or cancel the password prompt, the dialog box disappears and nothing else happens.
How can I get rid of this annoying additional system password prompt?

I’ve been experiencing the same issue for the past couple of days as well.

I'm having the exact same issue (on macOS 15.7.1). Every time I unlock the 1Password browser extension in Safari, I have to reauthenticate the app. Clearly a bug. See attached.

This is happening on my system as well, but only one of them. Mac Mini M2 Pro, running Tahoe 26.2. 1Password version: 1Password for Mac 8.12.0 (81200013). Has anyone found a fix for this?
