Master Password not working on Mac App

Hi, I recently changed my master password for security reasons. I use an iMac and the Mac app and have the latest 1Password update. I changed the password using the 1Password web login. This worked (Profile/change password etc). However, when I go to my iMac and open the app it will not accept the new master password and I have to use the old one. This is the same for the safari extension too. Any help[ in understanding why would be appreciated. Thx
