Medical and RX ID Cards
It would be real nice if 1Password could store Medical and Prescription ID Card details. I did a search and it was recommended to use the Medical record, but that is more for hospital and medication records. It doesn't align with anything for your ID cards. Almost like it would be better to do a regular note record instead.
I've seen some other records that most people (for family) will never use (Database). But most everyone has a medical ID and prescription card. How to recommend/suggest a new record type?

It doesn't sound like it will meet the exact use case you're going for, but I would suggest still using the Medical Record option, and just using (or adding) the fields that make sense for your use case. You can Attach a File (picture or scan of the ID Cards) and make it easily accessible, while filling in some of the key information from the card into the item (e.g. Prescription #, prescribing doctor, etc). This way, all of the information is viewable as specific items or the card.
This is the primary way that I do it, but I keep most of my health records and data in Apple Health. For insurance or prescription cards, I create the Medical Record item in 1Password and then use a tag of medical, that allows me to quickly find any medical-related document, login, etc.
Since only the information that is filled in will appear when you view the item, you aren't looking at a lot of blank fields -- plus, you can think click the attached file and view the card.

Thank you for the great reply cyber-bacon! This is how I input my medical information/records in 1Password as well.
Froggy, let us know how this works for you. If you have any feedback or requests for changes/features you'd like to see, I'd be happy to forward them along for you.

It works, but not ideal. I did it and had to create multiple custom text fields that I wish would auto-populate forms that doctors ask you to fill out every year. I also attached the front and back image of the card. Yes...it worked, but kinda painful to do. Most everyone has one of these cards and the multiple numbers (Member ID, group number, payer ID, etc.) on them makes it a chore to create/do. Just thought it would be a good one for the suggestion box and much more beneficial for the everyday family rather than Database, API Credentials, Server, SSH Key, etc.
