I just read the post Native Password AutoFill Extension macOS. The post by 1P_Dave 1 month ago seems like something I will look into. The older posts of that topic (ranging back several years) seem to contribute a whole bunch of noise so I have some reading to do before I jump in.
Thanks for getting me pointed at possible solutions!
I did install the nightly update as recommended by 1P_Dave . I see no real difference in the 1Password settings that I need to enable to use the "Native Autofill" so I am guessing I do have it enabled. The discussions I've read in the community seem to avoid the topic of using 1Password to log into 3rd party apps using passkeys.

Not certain how my original post made it into this monster several year old topic. I didn't receive any notifications that it had been moved and there are some differences in my topic that do not seem to be in the original topic. Specifically using passkeys to log in to 3rd party apps on macOS. The "Solution" marked for this thread does not answer my question.
I don't come to this site very often but the new community website is certainly not making it easy for me to find what I am searching for and there doesn't even seem to be a way for me to check in on previous posts.
