Need ability to filter out characters
When I create a random password (as secure as possible) for some sites that have yet to use passkeys, I sometimes get the odd message that they (for whatever reason) do not accept some characters. It...

I can't speak to future product plans, but I've added your vote to this feature request. Thanks for explaining why it would be useful for you!

This isn't a rocket science (or super super secret "future product plans") request but a feature that should just be in 1P by now!
I can name three password managers that have had the ability, FOR YEARS, to restrict certain characters in a login password. It's so frustrating when a site says to only use certain characters and you spend lots of time trying to make that site's silly password restrictions happy. To make matters worse, many of these sites then expect you to change the password regularly, something NIST says isn't necessary. But, that's still where we are.
I don't get why 1P is always so slow to fill in obvious gaps in the product with HELPFUL additions when there really aren't any other compelling new features left.
IMHO -- Until we can import Passkeys (share between, say, password managers), their usefulness (and adoption) is limited.

Thanks again for the feedback. How are you generating those passwords, using the desktop app? Or 1Password in the browser? 1Password in the browser has a "Smart Password Generator" feature that should be able to identify the correct password recipe for a website. You can ensure that you're using the smart password generator by following these steps:
- Click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
- Click the key icon to open the password generator.
- Make sure that Type is set to "Smart Password".
- Turn "Use as default for suggestions" on.
Going forward the password suggestions on each page will use the smart password generator:Let me know if you're already using the small password generator and still seeing issues.

Our team is working with our partners at the FIDO Alliance on the Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) and the Credential Exchange Format (CXF) standards to allow folks to transfer passkeys between credential managers. You can read more here:
