Search bar on home screen
I've seen a number of features requests to bring back the search bar to the home screen on iOS, some dating back three years. Is there an update on this? I usually use search to find entries, and being able to do so straight from the home screen world be great, rather than having to go to the search tab first.

Thanks for reaching out! We’ve been exploring different versions of the user experience in this area to find the right balance. Over the past year, the Home screen in 1Password 8 for iOS has included a search bar.
More recently, we’ve begun gradually rolling out a new dedicated Search tab for iPhone and iPad, which will replace the search bar. Since this is a phased rollout, it may not be available on your device just yet. In the meantime, here’s a preview of what you can expect once it’s fully rolled out:

That being said, you can still search by pulling down on a list of items to search through those items instead of navigating back to the search tab. Let me know if you have any feedback and I can pass that along to the team.-Dave

I've been using the new version with the search tab. For me, at least, it's actually a step back in functionality. The old home screen allowed you to directly start searching in the search bar without having to tap a separate area first. Is it a major hassle to now have to click a search tab first, then click in the search field to open up the virtual keyboard? No. But it's just a bit less user-friendly for an app I use multiple times a day. A good compromise would have been to allow a search bar as one of the home screen customization options for those of us who prefer it over less-useful options like "profile" or "tips".

Thank you for the feedback and suggestion! Your idea to add a search bar as a customization option for the Home screen in the 1Password mobile app is an interesting one and I've filed a feature request to have the team look into that for the future.
