Nothing happens when clicking on the 1password icon inside of a form field arbitrarily

On iOS and macOS 1password does not behave correct.
When clicking on the 1password Icon inside of a form field, sometimes 1password does not show anything and does not react to show login suggestions.
1password should work always.
A workaround I do is to press Cmd+# on macOS, but for what reason does 1password now have these icon in the input field when it does not work at all time?
Either make 1password work reliable or remove the icon in the input fields.
