We appreciate you getting back to us and letting know how important it is to you to have a option to save to another vault by default. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.

I don't have any news to share at the moment, but we're continuing to look into this and advocate for you and other customer's who'd like to see this option return to 1Password 8. Thanks for your patience!
