Please move search button back to bottom bar

Or add option to do so. I am right-handed and you now put search in the top left corner where it is most difficult to reach while using smartphone with one hand. 1Password Version: 8.10.52 E...

I see this thread is here for 7+ Months and nothing seems to have changed.

This is the most annoying design choice of the current version (this and the fact that there login setups are also at the top of the screen).

I don't understand why is so hard to give us a search option at the bottom bar. I'd even he happy with one floating search icon on the bottom right corner like other apps have.

Can any meaningful update be given on this topic? It's very annoying having to use two hands to search for a login that 1password didn't recognize in the first place.

Thank you for the feedback! Based on all of the feedback received from users in the community, social media, support, and other places there aren't any plans currently to add the search icon back to the bottom bar. However, I've passed your comment along to the team and they'll continue to iterate and test other approaches for search in the future.

For the time being, here are few suggestions that might help:

  • You can long-press on the 1Password icon and then tap Open Search to immediately open search.
  • You can use Android's one-handed mode feature on larger devices: Use one-handed mode
