Are you going to add print option back on to rev 8, if not, I need to start looking for another provider that doesn't think me smart enough to safeguard my own business.

Happily. Creating pdf's and saving them in a flash drive inside our safe would ensure instant access to my passwords for my family. Yes, the emergency kit does that, but no good contingency plan should stop at Plan A.
Also, there's no kind way of saying this, but in case 1password went out of business or if I decided to bring my business elsewhere for any reasons (not feeling the need right now, but again thinking of contingencies) I would love to have access to my data in a non-proprietary format. The CSV export option is a good start, but it only saves some of the data. So, another approach would be to offer a third export option. But again, the function was there and everyone was happy with it--bringing it back can't be so difficult... - 1P_Dave

Thank you for the feedback. Can you tell me a little more about how you personally would use the print feature and could you expand on what you mean when you say that "the security kit does not feel enough"? I would be happy to pass your thoughts along to our product team.

I agree with everyone in this thread--the security kit does not feel enough. Please, reintroduce the printing! This has to be a high-priority issue as it obviously makes lots of people uncomfortable.

I'm personally on the support team and I don't have the ability to make product decisions. I can say that my colleagues and I on the support team have passed along your feedback and now our product team will consider that feedback for future versions of 1Password.
We tend not to pre-announce new changes since that usually results in disappointment and frustration if a change has to be postponed or cancelled. But if the print feature does come to 1Password 8 you'll find it announced in our release notes: 1Password Releases

I am really saddened by your reply - despite your acknowledgement that your parents would struggle - that’s our problem too!
You seem to be terminating all threads relating to requests for printing - is that the companies policy?
Just tell us it’s something you or the company do not want to do. If that’s the truth - admit it - put us out of our misery and let us know.
We can all then move on, rather than continue in the hope that the “Print Function” will reappear - something we have had for years.
I await a proper decision on this rather than the avoidance and dithering that has gone on.

CliffGudgeon and salv0! 👋
Thank you for sharing why a print feature in 1Password 8 would be useful for you. 1Password's security model depends on you only storing your items inside of 1Password, as soon as you store a copy of your items in a second location 1Password is no longer protecting your items and their security is dependent on how you secure that second copy of your items on your device or on a printout. This is a discussion that continues internally and your comments help move that discussion forward.
That being said, and I think that I may have mentioned it in this thread before, we have work to do when it comes to estate planning. The best recommendation that I can give at the moment is to print out your Emergency Kit, write your account password onto the kit, and then store it in your bank's safe deposit box or a personal safe. I do agree that the Emergency Kit isn't accessible for everyone, I think that my parent's would struggle with it if they had to use it to get into my account in an emergency.
While I can't promise that printing will be implemented, I've passed along your feedback to our product team. 🙂

Very unfortunate that you "removed" printing. Yes "removed" because the app is presented as version 8, not version 1 for a new app.
I tag select items for Estate Planning purposes. I print those select items to a .PDF file which is included with other kinds of documents in a password protected .ZIP file for my executor. A .PDF file is platform/application/website independent, searchable, printable and absolutely "simple" for anyone familiar with a computer/tablet/smartphone -- the Emergency Kit is far from simple nor as independent as described above, and .1PUX is 1Password specific (no layperson would know what to do with it).
The bottom line: When I print an item, I am stepping out of the 1Password sandbox and absolving 1Password/AgileBits. I won't pretend to know AgileBits' motivation, but if "feels like" a defensive tort move.
This omission is a deal breaker for me. I have reverted to 1Password 7 and will prepare myself for another password manager. You have your target clients and evidently I am no longer one of them. . . .

This subject is so distressing.
The inability to print out the passwords makes my life impossible Should I die, then nobody would be able to get access to my passwords. Printing everything monthly and securing it in a safe, or in password secured files was so simple.
This whole issue is a great concern. I have spent many years with 1Password and the thought of changing is a massive task. I don't understand why you refuse to implement printing when everyone wants it. - 1P_Dave

Thank you, Dave. No worries, the 1Password Emergency Kit is part of my emergency files. daniel.
