Public beta signup question
As a current user of 1Password (I have a family account), it appears that I have to create a new individual account to use the new passkey public beta, is that correct? Does that mean using a different email address to create that account?
1Password Version: 8.10.24 (81024005)
Extension Version: 2.18.1
OS Version: macOS 14.3 Beta (23D5033f)
Browser: Safari

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll choose one of my relatively unused email addresses to use for the beta.

Hi Mirv
During this public beta you will need to create a brand new 1Password Individual account which will be secured by a passkey. We do recommend using a different email address than your existing account as to avoid confusion on which account you're trying to sign in to.
If you would prefer to use one email address, or only have access to one email, Gmail and other email providers support email aliases which 1Password will count as a different email. This means that if your email is wendyappleseed[at]gmail.com, you can add wendyappleseed*+passkey*[at]gmail.com to the end which will be different to 1Password than the email address without it.
