"Recently Used" and "Frequently Used" broken in the 1Password app
Hi
After recieving the latest update on OSX
1Password for Mac 8.12.0 (81200013)
MRU data disappeared, MFU to, and does not work. If I use passwords they dont move to the top when sorted by these options.
MRU is key to most of my work flow and the options exist on the menus but dont work and all data seems to be lost somehow (or the sorts themselves ignore it).
Please help/correct,
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry that the "Recently Used" and "Frequently Used" categories aren't displaying correctly in the 1Password app. Our developers have investigated and have isolated and determined the cause of the issue, we're currently testing a fix in the latest nightly versions of 1Password.
If testing in the nightly version goes well, we hope to release the fix to the beta and then the production version of 1Password as soon as possible. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Same issue here on a m2 air on the latest macOS Tahoe 26.2. The issue started after updating to 1Password for Mac 8.12.0.
Today however it does seem to be sorting by recently used again but it wasn't doing this yesterday, everything was just labelled as 'never used'.
Are you seeing the same thing at the moment OP?

Hello chaoskcw! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into an issue with 1Password on your Mac. Am I understanding the acronyms that you're using correctly:
- MRU = Most Recently Used
- MFU = Most Frequently Used
Let me know if I misunderstood. If I did get that right then our team is currently looking into an issue where these categories aren't being displayed correctly when using the latest version of the 1Password app. Our development team is currently investigating and I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused.-Dave

Hi
That is correct.
MRU and MFU seem entirely broken since the latest release.

When I try to Sort by Most Recently Used every item now says "never used." Obviously that's incorrect. I first noticed this perhaps two weeks ago, I'm not sure exactly when the problem started, not do I know if that field has been reset/data loss, or if its just a display problem.
Anyone else seeing this issue?- swoffendenOccasional Contributor
Yeah, just happened to me, today.

Hello spinoza! 👋
Thanks for reporting this! I'm seeing the same issue here on my end and I see that an internal work item is already open with our development team to investigate this further. The issue seems to occur on the production version as well as the nightlies.
I've added your report to the internal work item for the issue. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

1P_Dave, It seems this bug may not be fully resolved. My “Most Used” history on desktop has now looks like it’s rebuilding from scratch. Is there any way to restore the previous usage history?
On iOS, I’m not sure usage history is saved at all. I’ve been using the nightly/TestFlight builds, in case that matters.
Also, apologies if I’m elsewhere mixing up terms like vault and collection. Even as a long-time daily user, I still find the terminology unintuitive and confusing. I keep forgetting how vaults and collections relate, why there are both, and most importantly why my "everyday" collection sometimes appears, and sometimes not. (Add in my many near-duplicates and archived passwords, some in "Archive" some in backup collections or vaults, and its a mess.)
Is there a simple guide that explains this structure visually or memorably? If so, I haven’t found it.
