4 years agoRemoving a 1Password 7 login item
I am using macOS 13.0. In my Login Items I see 1Password 7. How can I remove this?
I have removed the 1Password 7 application from my Applications folder. I am currently using 1Password 8.

I believe I saw that too. My recollection was that I had to empty the trash after deleting 1Password7, and restart. That removed the 1Password 7 Allow In the Background slider.

A restart did not clear the item..
launchctl returned no results with the grep
~ $ launchctl list | grep onepassword
~ $I also tried...
~ $ launchctl list | grep password

Hello @ericg97477! 👋
Thank you for reaching out. As a first step, can you restart your Mac to see if that clears the "1Password 7" entry from that section in System Settings? If that doesn't work then can you tell me what output you see when you run the following:
- Open the Terminal app on your Mac: Open or quit Terminal on Mac - Apple Support
- Run: launchctl list | grep onepassword
I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
