Wells Fargo Passkey Not Saving In 1P
We're happy to share that our latest release, 1Password 8.10.80, includes a fix for this issue. We appreciate everyone's patience while we diagnosed, created, and tested the fix. Please update to the latest version and let us know how it's working for you!
Hello SIMMSHOPE! 👋
I'm split your post into a new thread, let's continue the conversation here so that we keep everything in once place.
I understand that you're being repeatedly asked to sign into the 1Password browser extension in Chrome. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:
- Are you just being asked for your account password to unlock 1Password in Chrome? Or are you being asked for all of your account information all over again: account password + Secret Key + email address.
- Do you have the 1Password desktop app installed?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dave,
- Password only.
- No. (Company manages software and has not installed it.)
Hi thirdwaver, thanks for reaching out!
I've taken a look and was able to reproduce the behaviour on the AT&T Prepaid page. I've reported this to our development team for further investigation and have shared your experience. I apologize for any inconvenience. While I'm unable to provide an exact timeline for a fix, once there is one, it will be listed in our https://releases.1password.com/b5x/.
As a workaround in the meantime, you can disable the auto-submit feature in the 1Password extension's settings using the following steps:
- Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar, then select "Settings".
- Click Autofill & save in the side panel.
- Toggle off the "Sign in automatically after autofill" setting.
If you'd prefer to continue using the auto-submit feature, then I'd suggest using the https://support.1password.com/getting-started-browser/#use-drag-and-drop-to-fill-in-apps method or copy and paste to fill your credentials on this page, then click "Sign in" manually.
If there's anything else I can assist you with, let me know!
-David
