Setting up 1P for my wife

I've been using 1P since 2016 and have been an evangelist to those still using post-it notes... However, I am having trouble getting up and going with a family plan. Can someone help me make this easy for my wife and I to start a family plan?

Background: I have an individual plan that renews annually through Apple App Store. In the 1P help documentation, it tells me to upgrade to Family plan by managing my subscriptions through iTunes or the App store. However this has led me to a dead end, I do not have iTunes on my PC, and in the App Store it only gives me the option to choose between monthly or annual individual plans. What am I doing wrong?

This also raises a second question - is there any advantages to using Family plan if it is just me and my wife? Would it be easier for her to just manage an individual plan by herself?

Thanks everyone :)

I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your post. Since you started your subscription with an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, I recommend that you reach out directly to our memberships team so that they can help you switch over to 1Password Families: support@1Password.com

You can find a description of 1Password Families and the features that it offers here: About 1Password Families

    1Password Families includes:

    • Up to 5 people by default (if you'd like to add others in the future).
    • Easy sharing of items and vaults between family members.
    • The ability for the family organizer to help family members recover access to their account if they lose their account password or Secret Key.
    • The option to invite guests and share items with them as well.

At $2.99 per person for the Individual and $4.99 for the Families plan, this is an easy choice before you consider the additional features of the Families plan such as sharing Vaults.
