Request: Bring back some of 1P7's mini options

I guess I just don't understand why the 1P7 Mini interface changed - it already did everything you needed.

At the very least I feel the team need to bring back the mini icon and search engine in the menu bar. At least then the 1P8 menu bar icon would have a reason to exist - i.e. it would serve a purpose for being there as it would again have some functionality.

Maybe have an option in the prefs to use either the mini, or the 'central spotlight' version of 1P8...?

I've had 1P since v3... but I won't be continuing the subscription once 7 dies a death and I imagine there's a whole load of others out there who feel the same way as snowy and I who are still sitting on 7 and haven't upgraded because of this. I know my wife's team at work have also stayed on 7 because there were so many complaints about v8.
