Safari app and autofill not respecting collections
Hi - I may be using bad terminology, so please bear with me,
I have 2 accounts; mine and my parents (as I do all their online stuff for them). I find it very annoying that I cannot lick their account and keep mine running which is what I want all the time.
...so I created some collections which works fine in the Mac and iOS apps.
Bot, the Safari app and the none auto-fill for credit cards does not seem to respect collections so I am inundated with all my my parent's account info as well as mine. As we use the same bak, it becomes incredibly difficult to see which card is which.
Am I missing a trick here or diesel;t the Safari app 'sync' selected collection with the main app?

This doesn't work on Safari for iOS/iPadOS since the extension still suggests items from any vault, even those that have been disabled.

Thanks re adding my name to the request list :)
Changing the settings is a tedious process - I need to change back and forth quite often, but at least it's doable.

Hey JamesHenderson,
We have an open feature request to support collections in the browser so I have added your feedback to this.
You can turn off/on vaults in the extension using the steps below:
- Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose Settings.
- Scroll down to Accounts & Vaults and toggle select/deselct the vaults.
I hope this helps, thank you for your feedback.

Thanks for your reply!
Not being able to filter by collections in the extensions feels like a big miss to me. Is there a plan to implement it? ...after all, collections is new in this version.
My parents data is in a different account (I have 2 accounts active; mine and theirs).
How do you turn off/on vaults in the extension?

Hey JamesHenderson the extension is unable to filter by collections. However, it is possible to create a separate vault to hold your parent's data and then turn off/on that vault as needed from the extension settings. When the vault is enabled, then your parent's info will be suggested. When the vault is disabled, then only your data (via your private vault) will appear.
Here's how to create a vault: https://support.1password.com/create-share-vaults/#create-a-vault
To turn off/on a vault in the extension settings:
- Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose Settings.
- Scroll down to Accounts & Vaults and select to enable/disable the vault containing your parent's data.
I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions!
