Safari Extension Not Working

I just downloaded 1Password app for my MacBook Pro with M1. Went through the setup process to get the Safari extension and it does not work. I can see it, so that is not the issue that others are having. When I click the extension logo in Safari it is either stuck in "Loading" or "Open 1Password". Clicking Open 1Password doesn't do anything. I've uninstalled multiple times (both the extension and desktop app), restart, logged out/in, etc. Sometimes I can put in my password but it just spins and doesn't do anything. Any ideas?
