Every day the safari plug in fails to work until I restart Safari. Any idea why? I'm talking about autofill in login boxes. When I click on the 1p icon in the menu bar it spins for a while,...

Hello folks,
We’re sorry about the issues that you’ve reported when using 1Password in Safari. We’re happy to share that the latest update to macOS and iOS includes improvements to Safari that resolve a bug where 1Password's suggestion menu would stop working and autofill will stop filling in certain situations.
- If you’re using a Mac, update to macOS version 15.6: Update macOS on Mac
- If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, update to iOS version 18.6: Update iOS on iPhone and iPad
We also recommend taking the time to make sure that you’re using the latest version of 1Password for Safari.Thank you for your patience as we worked with our partners at Apple to resolve the issue. If you're still seeing the issue then please send an email to support@1Password.com so that the team can help further. Since the original issue reported in this thread has been resolved I'll close this thread.

I'm sorry that autoFill stops responding in Safari on your Mac. This is an issue that the team and I have been able to reproduce and an internal issue is currently open to investigate this further. The team has identified an issue in Safari 18.4, that also exists in Safari 18.5, that is contributing to the issue and have filed feedback with Apple to get this fixed.
For the time being, opening the website in a new tab should get things working again. If that doesn't work then restart Safari by completely closing it and then reopening it.

I'm sorry for the impact that the issue is causing. Apple is currently testing a fix for the issue in the latest versions of Safari Technology Preview and we're hopefully that a fix will be released for the stable version of Safari soon.

I gave Safari Technology Preview a try, and it fixed some 1Password issues but introduced others. For example, it would get stuck where the extension would be locked, ask for the password (without prompting biometrics), accept the password... and then remain locked. If I had to guess something was broken with the connection to the app, as disabling and re-enabling that would temporarily fix things.
This actually drove me to switch browsers (I'm currently trialing Zen, based on Firefox)... and it's clear how much more reliable 1Password is. Feel free to take this feedback and tell Apple they're losing Safari users over this
Where's the best place to subscribe to know when you think the 1Password / Safari integration is fixed?
