Saved data appears to be newer
Keep getting this message after every reboot. I am running the latest nightly version so not sure how this could even be possible. Is there anything I can do to clear this "error"? ...

Okay, seems there are two versions running. Not sure why the app would allow an older version to remain when a newer version was installed via the UPDATE button. But manually removing the old version seems to have resolved the issue. Why the app moved from a ~200Mb EXE to a bloated ~500Mb MSIX app is just a bizarre choice. Likely the root cause for the dual installation?

1 month agoHi alcyone7!
This error usually means there are (or were) two different versions of 1Password on the device. A newer version has created files that an older version can't open. This most often happens when switching from Nightly or Beta back to Production, or when multiple versions of 1Password are installed at the same time.
Resetting the local database and making sure only one version of the app is installed should help. Don't skip step 1, as this process will sign you out of your account in the app, so it's important to make sure you're able to sign back in.
- Make sure you can log in at 1Password.com and that your data there is complete. It's also a good idea to save a copy of your Emergency Kit and fill in your password: Get your Emergency Kit
- Make sure that no 1Password processes are running, and close any related error messages.
- Check your Windows Installed apps list and make sure that only one version of 1Password is installed.
- Open the Start Menu, paste this code into the search field, and press Enter: %LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password
- In the File Explorer window that appears, right click 1password.sqlite and rename it to 1password-old.sqlite.
- Launch 1Password, and sign back into your account.
If this doesn’t resolve things, please write in to support@1password.com with a link to this thread and your forum username so we can take a closer look, as further troubleshooting may require checking logs or version details that we can't do via the forum.
