Set up codes

Uninstalled 1P and the 1P Safari extension, then restarted. Downloaded and installed 1P, then the extension from the MAS, and did my usual customization of 1P settings. Got to "Browser" and it said 1P wasn't connected to the 1P Extension. Pasted the the suggested command into Terminal and the string matched, so tried again...still said it wasn't connected to the extension. I restarted again, and this time 1P was connected to its Safari extension. Now ID.me works just fine.

But can I get an AMEN that this shouldn't be the case, and that this would have been a major PITA for my grandma (rest her soul). No, it wasn't a big deal for me to do but I've a a long life in technology and been using 1P since the day it was first released. I don't know if the uninstall/reinstall fixed it, or the Terminal command and subsequent restart. But this is exactly what all the non-techies don't have to endure when they use the Apple Passwords app...it will always just work. Somewhere in this there is a marketing lesson 🙂. Thanks, Dave!
