Thanks for reaching out! I know that many customers use Migration Assistant to transfer files and apps to a new Mac. There is an issue where Touch ID unlock for 1Password might not work after using Migration Assistant, if that happens you can guide your family member through resetting the 1Password app on their new Mac:

  1. Make sure that they download and save a copy of their Emergency Kit.
  2. How to reset the 1Password app on a specific device

This post applies to 1Password 8 for Mac, if they're using an older version of the app then let me know. 🙂
