Shortcuts do not work when 1password 8 is locked

I already returned to 1password 7, which is far better.
About the being respectful, you must understand I'm paying for this app every year and basically you have released a new version that brings absolutely nothing new, except multiple bugs and a new UI that I'm not sure what to say about it...

Thanks for your feedback. We're still discussing this behavior internally, but in the meantime, enabling the menu bar option would be your best bet.

lol Seriously? Is that the behaviour? What has to do having it in the menu bar and keep it unlocked? I'm software engineer and that is a really bad design. I don't want 1password in my menu bar at all. There's no reason to have it there, having the shortcuts...
Also, I have been using 1password 7 for more than 3 years now without it in the menu bar and it worked perfectly. I guess I will have to return to the previous version if it has this behaviour by design...

Do you have 1Password configured to stay in the menu bar? 1Password > Preferences > General.

If 1Password is configured to not stay in the menu bar, when it's closed and locked, it isn't able to listen for shortcuts.
