Should I move my vaults after upgrade to version 8?

Hi, I'm confused about the new version of the iOS and MacOS Apps. So, when I upgraded my apps from 7 to 8 I need to do anything else? What are the "local vaults"? Or I need to only install new versio...

Local vaults would be ones that do not sync; that might also be a vault that syncs via a 3rd party. 1Password 8 cannot make use of those types of vaults.

  • Make sure all of your data is available on https://my.1password.com and ensure you have a copy of your 🚒 Emergency Kit and you know your password. Provided that's the case, you would install 1Password 8 and then optionally remove 1Password 7. It is possible to leave both installed for now.

If you use the Apple Watch app I would suggest leaving the 1Password 7 app installed to make use of that feature.
