Staying signed in to 1Password

Thank you, Dave. I finally arrived at the settings and set them according to my preferences. I verified that I have version 2.13.0, but am still not sure whether it is for the app or the toolbar icon. I use them both. How do I acquire version 8, and is it really necessary?
