Hello folks,
I'm happy to share that you can now add Zen Browser as an additional browser to 1Password for Windows. Follow these steps:
- Install 1Password in Zen Browser from the Firefox Browser Add-ons Store
- Add Zen Browser as an additional browser to 1Password: Connect additional browsers to the 1Password app
A couple of notes:- Make sure that Zen Browser is installed system-wide with admin permissions in the C:\Program Files folder.
- Zen Browser is not an officially supported browser and you might run into unexpected issues. If you see those same issues with a supported browser like Firefox then let us know by starting a new discussion and we can investigate.

We know that, that's the reason why we're asking for the trusted browser feature. You're not a small indie company anymore, and fixing the bug that allowed us to use 1Pass in Opera (saw it in another thread), for example (and by that I mean the connected app/extension experience), did nothing but annoy your own loyal customers.
Unless there was some serious security problem (which was never communicated), this bug simply shouldn't had been fixed until the trusted browser feature is ready, at least in a beta version.
I"m hoping this post doesn't look like an attack on you (it's really not), but it's a really frustrating situation. Supporting only 4 browsers on Windows in 2024 is simply unacceptable.
