Support for Zen browser

Hello everyone!
Thank you all for the continued feedback! For security reasons, the 1Password desktop app will by default only connect to supported browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, Brave, Edge and Arc. If you're using a Mac then you can add Zen Browser as an additional browser to the desktop app:
- Open and unlock the 1Password for Mac desktop app.
- Click on 1Password next to the in the menu bar.
- Click Settings.
- Click Browser.
- Click Add Browser and choose your browser from the Applications folder.
Adding additional browsers is currently only available for the Mac and Linux. We're not regularly adding new supported browsers individually since that isn't a long-term and sustainable solution however I've shared your requests to support Zen Browser with our product team. We hope to bring the custom browsers feature to 1Password on other platforms (like Windows) in the future.
For the time being, you may still be able to use 1Password in Zen Browser on your Windows PC but you'll need to unlock it separately from the desktop app using your account password.-Dave
It's been two years since this issue was first reported, and it's still not resolved. I still have to enter my 24-character-long password twice every time I work on my Windows PC. What's even more frustrating is that the 1Password team continues to support the Arc browser—which doesn't even function properly on Windows and has essentially been abandoned.

For the time being you could consider adjusting auto-lock so that you're prompted to unlock 1Password in Zen Browser less often as long as you don't restart your PC or close your browser: Manage auto-lock in the 1Password browser extension
If you have a TPM installed in your Windows PC then you can use Windows Hello to unlock the desktop app (instead of your account password) even after restarting your PC: Use Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on your Windows PC

Respectfully, that setting does not solve the issue the user is facing. When you start your pc, you have to enter the password or windows hello login. Then when you start the browser you then are forced to enter the password again because the extension inside Zen cannot communicate to the application installed on the PC. That is the whole point of this thread. And you answered this 9 days ago to the user xxivdci

Thanks for the reply! I've updated my comment since I agree that it could have been clearer. I know that the suggestion won't help everyone but I wanted to share it in case it does help some while we're waiting for additional browser support to be added to 1Password for Windows. 🙂
