Telemetry from the 1Password extension
Today I found out, that also the Brave extension (Chrome) of 1Password does share telemetry data. Using actual stable version (no beta or something else).
Tried to reinstall and so on... Still sharing telemetry data (which isn't enabled at any system).
Why no feedback here? It's a point which really sucks as I don't want to share telemetry data within my password manager (think about upcoming Bill C-22 for example!).

I'm sorry for the delay here, I've split your post into a new thread since the other thread hasn't been active since 2024. As a start, please double-check that you haven't turned on telemetry for any of your 1Password accounts here:
- Sign in to your account on 1Password.com.
- Select your name in the top right, then select Manage Account.
- Under Usage Data, deselect Share information about your usage across the 1Password apps.
If you still see unexpected network traffic then can you please send an email to support@1Password.com and include the following:- A screenshot of what you see in Little Snitch.
- A diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser: https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/#in-the-1password-browser-extension
Attach the diagnostics and the screenshot to an email message addressed to support@1password.comWith your email please include:
- A link to this thread: DNS-lookups to telemetry-domain although telemetry is disabled | 1Password Community
- Your forum username: dragon1
You should receive an automated reply with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!-Dave

Same issue for me - even when telemetry is turned 'off' it still does collect telemetry.
EDIT:
I'm using little snitch and despite all the other entries there, the IAP (internet access policy) for telemetry is quite short and not available in other languages than english. Looks like it has been forgotten somehow...
Quite annoying as telemetry is a part which you really want to know what's going on there. And one more point:
- what happens, if you're using different accounts (private, business and so on)
- business telemetry maybe turned on
- how do you manage, that your 'private' data doesn't go to your telemetry servers when using both accounts at the same time?
