Too many 1Password logins

Why is it that every time I attempt to login another website, the 1Password master login always pops up and asks me for the master password? I don't think this should happen. If I enter the password the 1st time it should never ask again.

    The browser is Microsoft Edge. How do you check the version of 1Password? I don't see an 'About' under settings. Thanks for the reply.

      If it's 1Password in the browser click the 1Password icon and then select Settings and finally about. Just ensure you're not thinking of the web interface. That a different situation. Do you use the extension?

    Can you clarify if you're using 1Password 8, and which browser is problematic. In most situations like this there is a disconnect between 1Password and 1Password in the browser. I'd be sure to check for browser updates all around and then give the browser a full quit. While you're doing that you'll quit 1Password fully and then once you open 1Password and unlock you'll open 1Password in the browser. The lock state should be the same.
