Touch ID not working on mac

I seem to be having the same issue described in this post (https://1password.community/discussion/147312/touch-id-not-working-on-mac?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=touch+id)

I'll attempt to use Touch ID to sign in but it will fail with the popup disappearing and a new message under the password field saying "Touch ID sensor is currently unavailable...". Touch ID is working fine in other applications.

I've tried:
- Quitting and reopening 1Password
- Restarting my computer
- Toggling Touch ID permissions for 1Password

Extension Version: 2.27.1
OS Version: 14.3.1 (23D60)
Browser: Chrome
