Trusted Devices and Browsers

First of all!
I do not recommend people try this if you do not know what you are doing or you could lock yourself out.
Just to helpful.☺️

I was looking around and noticed I had one trusted device and Browser, so scroll down at the bottom of (my profile) on the 1Password website of my area.

So I see.
(Safari Browser) shows the version of iOS 17.1.2 and is correct.

So I see.
Besides the trusted device called (iPhone) it shows iOS 16.6.1. that is incorrect.

Both should be the same iOS 17.1.2.
for actual current version of iOS that is signed in.

So tried to fix by deauthorizing the trusted device which did sign me out of all my devices.

So anyway I signed back in on both my devices went back to (my profile).

I was unable to fix it, because it still shows an older version of iOS for the trusted device.

So after I deauthorizing and then signing back in to my app I go back to che k to see how it looks by taping the iCon tip left, manage accts., name, trusted devices and browser.

So I see that that fixed it as far as viewing it from the app way.

So I now see trusted device and browser with just lo cation showing and not iOS version.
The location is correct on the device and close on the browser location.

Just so the viewers know the way the Internet Providers IP address may not be at same location as the actual device is expected to be off and may show on as location a little away from actual device, but still close enough so that is understandable I get that. So ok with that.

So this time I deauthorize just the browser and not the device.
deauthorize just the browser is not risky as far as locking someone out as long as you use the app and that was expected. So ok with that.

So as long as I do not sign into my Acct. by the browser viewing from the app it will just show device with location and no browser will be their unless I sign in by the browser again.
So ok with that. That is normal.

So the above was just so the viewers who may not know, so they understand that their is really nothing wrong and this is just a way to see for security reasons what is connecting to one’s Acct..

So back to my original beef that should be able to be fixed.

So I sign back in to my Acct. by the browser this time and now it is showing like before the device called (iPhone), with the incorrect version of the device’s iOS so it needs to be fixed if it matters to 1Password. 😁
That is my only beef it should be fixable because some reason it recognizes the wrong version of iOS, so it show it wrong.

This is really no big deal I just thought it would be nice if it showed my correct version of iOS next to the device if I check it by the browser.
If I deauthorize and never sign back in by the browser it does not matter either way, but needs to be fixed.

  • Hello bugwhat! 👋

I'm sorry that the iOS version isn't updating after you deauthorized your iPhone. Can you try these steps to uninstall and reinstall the 1Password for iOS app:

    1. Log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app).
    2. Verify that you can see all of your items in the browser. If there is anything missing then stop here and let me know.
    3. Download and save the Emergency Kit for your account: Get to know your Emergency Kit
    4. Reset the 1Password app on your iPhone: How to reset the 1Password app on a specific device
    5. Add your 1Password account back to your 1Password for iPhone app.

Does "Trusted Devices and Browsers" now show the correct information?
