This feature was available previously. I do lock my computer.

Hello,
Settings > Security > You can disable "Lock 1Password when the computer locks (...)".
And in the options "Lock after the system has been idle during..." you can choose Never
See image below but, sorry, my 1Password is in French.

There is a limit of 300 minutes before autolock kicks in. There used to be a provision for disabling auto-lock.
