Thanks for the update Jack_P_1P.
Not to go too much off topic here (break this out into another thread if necessary) but that 2-week interval isn't mentioned anywhere for the Windows version.
- It's not mentioned under Settings > Advanced where you enable the TPM option.
- It's not listed in the https://support.1password.com/windows-hello/#get-help.
- It's not mentioned in https://releases.1password.com/windows/8.4/.
- It's not mentioned in https://blog.1password.com/1password-8.6-windows/.
In the blog posts it sounds as if you'd never have to enter your account password ever again. On iOS the 2-week interval is made clear directly under the Face ID option under Settings > Security. So from the list above, I think it would be appropriate to update at least the settings menu on the Windows version as well as the support documentation with another bullet point about the 2-week interval.
This might also explain why I had to use my password on my work laptop (with the TPM option configured) after a reboot caused by a Windows update. I created a support ticket about that and got a reply that in certain scenarios for reboots in conjunction with certain Windows updates or BIOS updates or similar, you might get prompted for the password as well.
Getting back to this topic, I appreciate you taking the "after device restart" suggestion up for discussion, and the solution proposed about "2 weeks after you entered your account password on any device" sounds like a great option as well.
